At Footprints, we’ve been doing “Thank you God” as our theme each week.  We have thanked God for eyes to see, ears to hear, mouths to speak and sing,  hands and voices to share good news, and so on!  Each week, we learn about a Bible story, and we have songs, dance, prayer time, an activity related to our Bible story, and we usually have something we’ve made to take home with us to remind us of our Bible story.   Nicola is great at showing us our songs!

Tuesdays at 10am to 11.15am (for pre-schoolers and their carers)

Little Champs … we have some stories, playtime and songs, and we learn about Jesus and his friends.  We have a lovely time and especially at the end of the service when we help play the musical instruments in the praise songs!

Sundays at 11.15am (for pre-schoolers)

CHAMPIONS … We have a great time each Sunday morning - we do stories, quizzes, we write some prayers, we do songs,  we make things to take home, we share with the other groups what we’ve been doing.

Sundays at 11.15am (for school-age kids)

FUSION …
We’ve been getting together as a group of teenagers, and talking about the sorts of things we need to talk about, praying, etc.  We also won some special mugs in January!

Sundays at 11.15am (for teenagers)

Positive Parenting ... starts Tuesday evenings, 7.30pm

from 13 September to 18 October

Care for the Family recently joined forces with Positive Parenting, a charity which has similar aims and ethos in supporting parents in the ups and downs of family life. The merger means even more families will be able to access high quality parenting resources.  Positive Parenting’s parenting courses and resources are already being used in communities around the country. The range of material is well grounded in research and has a practical, common sense and ‘user-friendly’ approach. It can be used in a variety of settings, including schools, children’s centres, churches, community groups and prisons. To help people make the most of the resources, Positive Parenting also offers training to facilitators of parenting groups.

We will be hosting a Positive Parenting course at St Francis Church.  This will run for 6 weeks, on Tuesdays evenings 7.30pm to 9.30pm from 13 September until 18 October.
Places are limited, to please book a place by sending your name/email address and phone number to st.francis.church@btinternet.com or contacting Mrs Mary Lewis, Parish Administrator, on 531522.  Other than the cost of the course participant’s manual (approx £6.50 each) there is no other cost for the course, although donations to cover the speakers’ expenses will be very welcome.
