OUR ACTIVITIES
As well as the regular services of worship and daily prayer, there are several groups that meet throughout the week, on different days, at various times and in a variety of venues, with many activities - not just in the church, but also in the local community and further afield.

Footprints - for pre-schoolers and their parents/carers
Tuesdays during term-time 10am - 11.15am
at St Francis’ Church.
Footprints provides a joyous and lively environment where families with pre-school children come together for fun and enjoyment, and to build up friendships. We have action songs, a Bible story and related activity, playtime, refreshments. It’s a great time!

Each Sunday morning at 11.15am, Champions and Little Champs meet and have a great time!
Champions is for children of primary and junior school age.
Little Champs is for pre-schoolers.
Stories, music, fun, games, prayer and praise!

FUSION for today’s teenagers
Sundays, 11.15am
Each week, lively and interesting topics are covered about the issues we face as young people in today’s world.
We also get involved in raising awareness of third-world issues, fundraising for Christian Aid, etc - sponsored walks, “Tea Time” - more details to follow later!

Alpha Express and Youth Alpha
for those wanting to find out what the Christian faith is all about.
“Ever wondered what it's all about?”
“If God did exist what would you ask?”
“Who is Jesus?”
- They are the sort of questions that get asked on the Alpha course. Alpha Express is an opportunity for adults to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. Youth Alpha is specifically designed for teenagers and young people.Over 2 million people in the UK and 13 million worldwide have now attended an Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, and discover who Jesus is.

“Catch up and Chat” - do you like a nice cup of coffee? Fancy a bit of company? Need a friend to talk to? Come along for a chat and refreshing cup of coffee on the first Saturday morning of each month at St Francis’ Church, 10am to 12 noon. Everyone very welcome.

Flower Group - Wednesdays 1pm, monthly
A lovely time to enjoy making floral displays and friendships together, as well as visiting other local organisations and groups who also enjoy making and designing floral arrangements.

“Happy Heart, Healthy Harvest” - our local community garden project. Please do come along and join us as we plant and tend herbs, fruit, vegetables and then, when the crops are ready, we harvest them and share in a meal together! A great time for people of all ages!

Home Groups - meeting each day of the week, in different venues in and around the parish.
Encouraging one another in growing in faith and a lifestyle that honours Jesus Christ, we have a time of exploring the Bible together, sharing insights, praying together, supporting one another, eating together, and so on.

Keeping in Touch - reaching out with pastoral care, to comfort the bereaved, visit those who are sick or housebound, supporting those in need of help.

“Let us Pray” - Prayer Evening Monthly, 7.30pm
See the Bulletin for dates for the prayer evenings. The prayer evening is not a service, rather a time of quiet, reflection, open prayer, seeking God’s heart together as we bring our prayers to Him, and seek His heart and will.

Mothers Union meets Mondays 1pm, once monthly
Having a deep concern for supporting families, we meet monthly. Our annual programme includes a variety of interesting guest speakers.

Pamper Evening - a monthly treat. Rest and relaxation are fundamental to a balanced lifestyle, and to our physical and spiritual welfare. Come along for a refreshing facial, manicure, make-over in lovely relaxed surroundings.

“Rubies” - meeting on Wednesdays, once a month, at St Francis - 1.30pm to 3.30pm - for a jewellery/bead-making workshop - come along and make your own original beads and necklace or earrings! Materials will be provided. A donation of £3 is invited for the workshop to contribute to the cost of materials. As well as providing a good meeting place for fun, fellowship, prayer and praise - through funds raised via Rubies, we support the Philangethemba Project in South Africa, part of the outreach ministry of St Agnes Anglican Church in Kloof. Also available via Rubies, scripture bracelets which can be purchased.
